Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of dried mugwort, a small, spongy herb, to facilitate healing. Moxibustion plays an important role in Chinese Medicine system and can be used by itself directly on the skin or indirectly with acupuncture needles.

In traditional Chinese medicine, moxibustion is used on people who have a cold or stagnant condition. The burning of moxa is believed to expel cold and warm the meridians, which leads to smoother flow of Blood and Qi. In Chinese Medicine practice, moxibustion BL67 can be used to help with breech presentation. A system review published in 2021 suggested that moxibustion therapy has positive effects on correcting breech presentation.
